5 things women always hide from men

5 things women always hide from men

From what is known of peeking into most women's diaries, the life of a woman seems synonymous with the life of a secret. What goes on inside a girl's mind usually fails to agree with her heart, leading her to hide a few things, not because she's afraid, but because she loves those things in her personal space.

A survey carried out on a social media website asked women - single and committed - 'what would you hide from your boyfriend'? At first, the responses were few and far between. Most women refrained from opening up about their hidden secrets, which clearly indicated that there's a lot to hide! But, as their masks started to unveil, the poll witnessed a rapid fire of some of the most outrageous answers given by bold and fearless ladies. Here are the top five answers that were found on the survey that every man should be reading...

Flings-capades
While you may feel that your girl has divulged her most intimate experiences with you, she might be hiding her share of "fun experiments". Most women are afraid of being judged for their character, while others felt that sharing their 'dirty little secrets' would make their current partner insecure and jealous. Most men want to know, "Am I better than him?" and women find this very annoying.

Off the record girl-talk
You will never be able to break into the most classified realm of girl talk (unless you go undercover into a girls' room) where some of the most sizzling, spicy secrets are openly discussed with graphic juicy details! Most women who gave their opinions said that they would never tell their friend's secrets because it has nothing to do with their relationship with the guy. The inside scoop of a ladies night is your girl's place to vent. Sorry, men not allowed!

Make-Up kits
If you ever wondered how she manages to look so pretty all day long, it is obvious that you haven't seen where she keeps all of her cosmetic back-up. She wants you to keep wondering where the prettiness comes from and how it never goes. While some of you may be smart enough to know it's the make-up on her skin, your girl might prefer to cover up her anti-ageing cream, her under-eye make up or her pimple solutions!

Heart-tales of her ex
Virginia Woolf so aptly quoted, "Love, the poet said, is a woman's whole existence."You know that she had a life pre-you. You know that she didn't spend all her days in a girl dorm before you saved your damsel in distress. And now you want to know whether she still feels anything about her past. However, a woman's heart will have the deepest of feelings that even she would never be able to decode. From what we gathered of the survey results, most women hide their true feelings about the ex-beau to save their current boyfriend from getting hurt. Interestingly, there's a flipside to this story! Some women said that they purposefully mentioned a few feelings about their ex-es to let the current partner know that the bar is set high for him.

Feelings about his kin
Every time a woman has expressed her feelings about his sister being petty or his mother being overtly inquisitive, she's been accused of being insensitively provocative! It's as if she's trying to put him in a situation where he would have to make a choice. Over the years though, the entire race of fairer sex has become cautious of loosening their tongue over their true feelings for his clan members. The reason they all gave for camouflaging their opinions about his family - 'We don't want to be the ones to cause damage to the relationship!'

10 Things Girls Absolutely Can’t Stand About Being Girls

While us girls like to argue about being the better sex (obviously), we’re the first to admit that boys have it so much easier. And, as if we didn’t hate boys enough, we’re also jealous of the laid-back, stress-free lives they seemingly lead.
Obviously there’s a crazy amount of cool things that come with being a girl but sometimes, the everyday monotony of dealing with life gets a little overwhelming.
We’re a pretty complex gender and often fail to determine what exactly we even want half of the time. But, given the number of things we simultaneously juggle, can you blame us?
I’ve got a list as long as my arm, which I’ll refrain from boring you with, but I’m sure most girls will nod in agreement at these simple but spot-on situations.
So, sit back, grab a tissue if you’re on your lady cycle, resist the urge to text back the assh*le if you’re having boy problems and ditch the Instagram explore page for just a minute.
Because here, my friends, are the 10 things we hate most about being girls:

1. Hormones

Not only is it bad enough that Mother Nature makes us bleed for five consecutive days, she also throws in stomach cramps and a backache for fun. Oh, but it doesn’t stop there.
We also have these unpredictable chemical substances that decide to erupt without warning.
Common symptoms include feeling fat 24/7 and uncontrollably sobbing into a tub of ice cream for no apparent reason.
If you think you might be experiencing hormones, grab your best friend, a blanket and some serious comfort food.

2. Childbirth

While we have a secret love for periods because it means we’ve avoided pregnancy for another month, when we finally do decide we’d like a family, we have to push a small human being out of a small hole known as a vagina.
I don’t know about you, but the last time I checked, my lady hole didn’t look like a big enough exit.
I’m well aware of the power of pelvic bone expansion, but it genuinely makes us never want to have sex again.

3. Boys

We like boys and we like having sex with boys, but we also sometimes hate them with every bone in our body.
I know there are some good eggs, but the majority of the time, it seems as though they’re few and far between.
We can’t seem to decide whether they actually just don’t ever think, or whether every move is calculated and intentional.
Whatever the rationale is behind it, we’re all kind of sick of the modern-day dating attitude. If you want our attention and respect, don’t be a dick.

4. UTIs

We don’t know how the hell cystitis was ever invented, but we do know that it hurts like hell.
The inflammation of the bladder certainly doesn’t sound healthy, and it’s one of the most common lady problems with which we have to deal.
The battle between desperately needing to wee, but knowing it will feel like you’re pissing fire shouldn’t be a ramification of enjoying sex or not urinating five times a day. Thank God for cranberry juice.

5. Bitchy girls

This one’s a snore. We thought that when we left school, bitching would subside and every girl on the planet would just cuddle and be friends. But apparently, it’s not cool to smile, be polite to or compliment other girls.
It’s not fun to constantly be met with resting bitch face 24/7, but maybe us basic bitches with manners haven’t caught on to the let’s hate every single girl who breathes trend yet.

6. Instagram explore page

Oh my God. Can we not? There are two real issues with this place. First, it makes us depressed that we’re not skinny, tanned goddesses with perfectly-winged eyeliner and eyebrows on fleek.
Second, when we subconsciously double tap, it’s always on the photo that has about 12 likes and was posted by that girl you know, but don’t really know, who now probably thinks you stalk her. It’s an addictive, guilty pleasure we just can’t seem to kick.

7. Shaving

Boyfriend-less winters are fab because we can practically start a fire with the friction, but when summer rolls around, (or adult sleepovers, whatever tickles your fancy), it’s a whole different ball game.
We’re not really sure if boys or general members of the public really care, but we like to have, or at least pretend to have, a little bit of pride in our appearances.
We’re still not really sure whether silky-smooth legs are worth the multiple razor cuts we endure.

8. Weight Gain

“Thinkin’ ’bout dat summer body, but also ’bout dem tacos” – sound familiar? We love to eat, but we also love to look good.
The struggle is real. We could eat everything in moderation, but it’s much more fun to eat in excess and privately nurse a food baby afterward.
A moment on the lips really is proving to be a lifetime on the hips, which is made even more depressing when you realize it takes about half an hour on the treadmill to burn off half a Mars bar.
Let’s just go back to the Insta explore page and cry into cake because after all, it’s the things we love the most that hurt us the most.

9. Breakouts

These really are the bane of our lives. They come when you’re on your period, off your period, happy, sad or just generally breathing.
What’s more is that they have the power to make us feel like absolute sh*t. There’s no way to have a positive attitude toward zits and there’s certainly no way to embrace them.
We just have to use half a tube of concealer and a 2008 side fringe to try and cover them.
Note to self: Don’t ever tell someone she has food on her face — it’s probably a zit.

10. Overthinking

Overactive brains are probably the most common girl problem because whatever we do, we just cannot stop thinking and it drives us crazy.
We go over every tiny detail in our heads and generate answers to questions we’ll probably never get asked.
We run through completely fictional scenarios and conjure up the most kickass comebacks just because. Tip for any of you boys: If you ask a girl what she’s thinking and she says nothing, run.

10 Things Guys Should Know About Girls

1. Girls DO NOT like arrogant jerks who think too highly of themselves, flirt with every girl they lay their eyes on, and treat women like they are just accessories.
I know, this one is kinda obvious but really, it isn't cool. If you think you are too awesome to be in a meaningful relationship... GET A LIFE. Just be yourself and take a little reality check every once in a while if you notice that you've been getting a big head lately.

2. We do fart, burp, pee, and crap JUST LIKE YOU!
Just wanted to clear a few things up. Sorry for the "potty talk" but someone needed to say it!

3. Girls can be just as funny as guys.
Look, all guys are NATURALLY funny to girls. Guys may not find other guys very funny, but whatever awkwardness or lame joke spills out of a guy's mouth, a girl (especially the one that likes this guy) will find it cute and therefore laugh. BUT, if a girl is dating or even friends with a guy who happens to be a total class clown, she might get sick of you getting all the laughs and attention. So make sure to include her on your jokes and give her attention when she has something funny to say! Girls can be bros with your bros, and it just makes it more fun for everyone!

4. Sometimes relationships need REALITY CHECKS.
This goes out to girls as well as guys. I mean, yeah, every girl has an idea of their perfect Prince Charming who sweeps her off her feet and carries her into the sunset. All guys have ideas of the perfect girl who understands and loves them to death no matter what they do, even if it's frying their brains on Call of Duty all day. But if expectations begin to get too high, things can go downhill real fast. Keep the relationship balanced.

5. PMS: it SUCKS.
I know, an awkward subject (if you don't know what PMS is yet, look it up or actually listen in health class) but guys need to know! We go through a whole lot of physical and emotional distress. Cramps, bloating, headaches, acne, cravings (mainly for chocolate ;D), mood swings, and just plain IRRITATION that nature requires us to BLEED for a WEEK... EVERY SINGLE MONTH! So if you can SHUT UP about how angry we get on PMS and UNDERSTAND, that'd be just PEACHY.

6. We shouldn't always have to be dolled up if we're just chillin'.
A girl should be able to relax in her baggy sweatshirt and sweatpants and sit like an extremely comfortable potato right on the couch, scarfing down whatever junk she feels like every once in a while. You know, forget about make up, uncomfortable skirts, adequate posture, and all that junk and just CHILL. So layoff if we don't ALWAYS look our best when you see us...

7. Playing hard to get DOESN'T WORK.
Flirting with a girl you don't really like right in front of us, believe it or not, DOES NOT make us like you. When you don't answer questions or texts or simply ignore us or blow us off for some non-existent event, it just makes it clear that you're not interested! It won't get you more attention from that special girl, but more from the girl you're pretending to like. Whether that attention is positive or negative I can't say... D:

8. If we like you, WE WILL STARE AT YOU LIKE A FREAKIN' STALKER.
Not kidding. It happens involuntarily and half the time we aren't even thinking about you when we stare. We think about other random stuff like homework or something while our eyes gaze deeply into yours... without even realizing it. But, yeah, a lot of the time we are thinking about you... XD (I do this all the time, by the way)

9. We normally eat just like you would... But we can be a bit insecure about it sometimes.
C'mon, all girls have a pig inside 'em somewhere! Heck, I don't care if I eat like a pig in front of everyone I'm close to... friends, family... except for the guy I like. I mean, no girl wants to look like a carnivorous monster in front of a guy, even if she doesn't like him that much. Also, for some odd reason, we believe that the food you eat may portray different images of your lifestyle and health and even body image. I don't know if guys notice things like that, or even care about things like that (I'm presuming not), but it'd help to let us know... ;) *points to comment box*

And last but not least (I think this is pretty important XP)...

10. GETTING PUNCHED IN THE BO'OB HURTS LIKE HELL!!! (I know from experience /:( )
Obviously you guys don't have bo'obs and wouldn't thoroughly understand the pain that resonates after an accidental jab in the jugs but to put it in perspective,

10 Things Girls REALLY Want From Guys

10 Things Girls REALLY Want From Guys

Most of us have been in relationships where we felt misunderstood or weren’t getting what we wanted. I’ve heard multiple women say, “He just wasn’t giving me what I needed.” And I’ve heard multiple men ask something along these lines: “What in the hell do you really want?!” Women aren’t that complicated. This post explains what we really want.

1. We want little surprises.

Sure, we do like flowers and jewelry, and we’ll gladly accept both…and totally love you for it. But we don’t expect you to go out and spend an arm and a leg every month to keep us happy. Contrary to what you might think, we’re not out to break the bank. But we do love little surprises. Is there a new wine we’ve been obsessed with? Stop at the store on your way home and pick us up a bottle (because you know the bottle we bought three days ago is already empty). Do we have a newfound love of yoga? Grab us that $8 yoga mat you saw while browsing the fishing aisles at Walmart. Have we gotten really into baking lately? Show up with a baking cookbook (but let’s be honest, you’re really benefiting yourself here). I’m not saying shower us with expensive presents every day or even every month. But a few times a year wouldn’t hurt. Because it lets us know that you’re thinking of us. It makes us feel like seeing us happy is important to you and makes you happy.
While sweet little surprises really do make us melt, most of the things we need can’t be bought. So pay attention, this is the important stuff….

2. We want to be able to talk to you.

About everything and about nothing. It may seem trivial to you that we’re conducting a full-fledged debate out loud about whether we should wear our taupe shoes or ivory shoes with our blue lace dress. In your head, you’re probably thinking, “Who cares, they’re the same color anyways, and no one is going to be looking at your shoes.” But bite your tongue. We need to feel like we’re able to be women in front of you…and women debate on taupe v. ivory. Let us talk it out. And if we ask for your opinion, just say a color. And you might not care about some story we saw on the news or read on the Internet, but if it’s important to us, let us talk. Don’t make us feel like you’d rather not be sitting there or you have better things to do. Let us talk about our fears, our dreams, or about what color we should paint the living room. We just want to know that no matter what is it, we can talk to you.
Be open to talking about the relationship. Always. If there’s something we’re unhappy with, be open to communicating about it. Don’t get defensive. Don’t shut us out. That won’t solve anything. Relationships are about growing together, getting stronger together, working better together, and making tweaks on both sides. How in the world will we ever do that if we can’t even talk about the way things are going?

3. We want you to care about us.

Ask us how our day was. Because we need to feel like you’re still interested in what goes on in our lives. And if we’ve had a bad day, whether it was at work or at home with the kids, listen to us. We’ll instantly feel better. Providing some encouragement never hurts, either.

4. We want you to believe in us.

Believe in us. Whatever our hopes, goals, aspirations—believe in us. Encourage us. Tell us we can do it. You’re supposed to be our biggest supporter…our #1 fan.

5. We want to feel appreciated.

For who we are, for what we do, and for what we’re striving to become. If we make dinner, say thanks or let us know it was good…and if it wasn’t good, compliment the way the water tasted. We don’t mind doing the laundry every Sunday. But when you see all your shirts hung up and facing the same way, let us know you appreciate it, especially if we used fabric softener. That shit’s expensive and we wouldn’t use it on just anyone’s clothes.

6. We want to feel like we’re a team.

If we made dinner, offer to clean up. While we’re cleaning the house, wash our car for us. There may be times when you unload the dishwasher every time for a month, and times when we do the laundry every time for a month. It’s not about keeping score or making sure everything is even. It’s about working together, because a relationship takes two. Teamwork requires compromise. Teamwork requires you to work together, not against one another. It’s about understanding that the two of you are partners, not enemies.

7. We want you to stand up for us.

If someone is questioning choices we’ve made or actions we’ve taken, stand up for us. If someone is putting us down, stand up for us. If someone is minimizing our accomplishments, stand up for us. If someone calls us crazy…first agree with them, then stand up for us.

8. We want you to pick us up when we fall.

I’m not going to lie. There are probably going to be some days when we feel down in the dumps, and those days will usually occur after we’ve failed at something or we’re just questioning whether or not we’re cut out for something. Let us cry on your shoulder. Tell us that we have value, and tell us to keep at it.

9. We want you to make us laugh.

This is probably the sweet spot for every woman. We want you to be able to make us laugh—when we’re happy, it makes us happier; when we’re sad, it makes us happy; and when we’re mad…well, it’ll probably just piss us off more at first (c’mon, stop making us laugh, we’re trying really hard to be mad at you!), but then it will lighten the mood. We will fall in love with you over and over if you can make us laugh.

10. We want you to text us.

Doesn’t matter what you text us—just text us. Tell us good morning—we’ll be thrilled you’re thinking of us. Tell us you can’t wait to see us—it’ll make our day. Ask us how we are. Send us a funny picture. Tell us about the new song you’ve been listening to. Tell us about the prank Zach pulled on Shaun. We’re not picky; we really don’t care what you text us, we just care that you do text us.
